BACKGROUND

Born in Baltimore, Maryland and having lived in eight other states along with the countries of Canada and Serbia, Pam considers Texas home.  She resides in the historic town of Granbury with her husband, Mike and their Labrador Retriever, Vuk. Pam has always had a passion for art.  Upon touring the set designs at Universal Studios her senior year of high school, she knew that she wanted to pursue a career in art.  Although a formal art education never came to fruition, Pam pursued her passion through individual study, workshops and many hours of studio painting. Having a successful faux finishing and mural business for a number of years, she is now putting her brush to the canvas.

MEDIUM AND TECHNIQUE

“Though my paintings are representational, often my work will begin as an abstract.  I find that by just putting color on the canvas in the beginning stages helps me keep a painting ‘loose’ and helps establish a color scheme.  Simplicity and color harmony are the driving INSPIRATIONfor all my work.  I desire to capture the essence of the subject without incorporating every detail.  I want collectors to have an emotional connection with my artwork that they’ll cherish for life.”

INSPIRATION

“Beauty, simplicity, color and light -that’s what inspires me.  God has created the palette of colors; I simply seek to apply them to the canvas using my own expression.  My desire is to capture with paint what the subject is saying to me, believing that my art will speak to others as well.”
